I am a passionate, certified clinical hypnotherapist through EKAA (formerly the Californian Institute of Hypnosis of Institute of India) and a member of IMDHA (The Institute of Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association).

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is guided hypnosis, or a trance-like state of focus and concentration achieved with the help of a clinical hypnotherapist. This trance-like state is similar to being completely absorbed in a book, movie, music, or even one’s own thoughts or meditations. This heightened state of relaxation distracts the conscious mind state, so you can turn your attention inward to access the natural resources deep within your subconscious mind, the centre of all our feelings, habits and memories.  This can help you make changes or regain control in areas of our life, productively handling situations that have been causing you fear, anxiety or blocking you so you can reach your life goals. I work in partnership with you.

What to Expect in a Hypnotherapy Session

Clinical hypnotherapy is performed in a calm, therapeutic environment. I will guide you into a relaxed, focused state and ask you to think about experiences and situations in positive ways that can help you change the way you think and behave.

This allows deeper thoughts and feelings to come to the surface, helping you locate and essentially revisit and heal memories of past experiences to make the positive and permanent changes you desire. By desensitizing old memories and habits–things you may not know are there, but that get in your way, that have emotionally blocked you for years– and creating positive responses and actions, you can achieve permanent change.

Unlike some dramatic portrayals of hypnosis in movies, books, or on stage, you will not be unconscious, asleep, or in any way out of control of yourself. The journey is a partnership between you and the therapist.

Your Customised Hypnotherapy Process

The First Session:

I will sit down with you to clearly ascertain your objective and gain some background on your personal issue, the challenges you are facing and your general health. During the session you will also learn how the mind works.

Subsequent Sessions

Each session comprises of several cognitive and hypnotherapy healing techniques, visualisations and exercises to release the disempowering beliefs and experiences from your subconscious mind. We may give you some ‘homework’ to continue the shift in your beliefs and behaviours in between sessions. Sessions usually last between 60 to 90 mins.  Sessions are usually a week apart and can be done face to face or over skype.

Your personal package usually includes:

Client Exploratory Session

Usually held face to face or via skype. So I can get to know you and can share how hypnotherapy works and also so I can understand more about the area of your life you are looking to transform. From here I’ll be able to give an initial recommendation around the number of therapy sessions you make need and tailor a programme to meet your unique needs. It’s also a chance for you to ask any burning questions you may have!  All of which will enable us to fast-track you to the result you are looking to achieve.

3 or 5 or 8 Client Sessions

60 to 90 minutes long. In these sessions we’ll work through a variety of techniques to explore, create awareness, heal and create shifts in your life for long-lasting or permanent transformation.  There may be homework in between sessions, which includes listening overnight to recordings that are developed specially for you. These usually take the form of affirmations or short scripts. I’ll also teach you self-hypnosis and a selection of other useful tools and techniques, as appropriate, (such as the Emotional Empowerment Technique (EET) – a shortened fast track Tapping Tool) for you to use outside of the sessions and, which in themselves, can be transformational.

You’ll also receive access to your very own personalised Transformational Toolkit which may include:

++ Creating Mindsets and Habits for Powerful Results Worksheet that will you establish a positive frame of mind and help you uncover your motivation to maximise your success.

++ Self-hypnosis Technique. Learn how to put yourself very quickly and easily into a state of relaxation that will allow you to deepen your affirmations and meditation practices in the comfort of your own home.

++Recorded affirmations/scripts that will be designed specially for you to reinforce the work we do outside of our sessions so you can continue to amplify your results and make progress towards your goals.

++ EET  Emotional Empowerment Technique) Tool & Guidelines – A shortened version (but just as effective) as the famous EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) – “Tapping”. The technique I will teach you is a very quick and effective treatment method that can bring almost immediate relief/ healing from physical and emotional pain or anxiety.
